Do you offer guided tours?

We offer guided tours for different visitor groups.
For school classes, the tours are adapted to suit lesson times and age groups.

From what age is the exhibition suitable?

In Bavaria, the topic of National Socialism is usually covered in history lessons from Year 8 onwards .

In Year 8, the topic is often introduced in connection with the Weimar Republic and the seizure of power by the National Socialists.
For this reason, the exhibition is very suitable for this age group or 13 years and older.

How can guided tours for school classes be organized?

The exhibition can be viewed at any time during daylight hours.

It is possible, for example, to let the pupils explore the labyrinth themselves or to set group tasks on specific topics.

However, we also offer short introductions and guided tours by Dr. Edtih Raim.
For school classes, the guided tours are adapted to the lesson times and age groups.

The period from 1919 to 1924 is presented in detail, but the aftermath is also highlighted.

Another aspect and a topic for school classes: The artistic format, we offer a guided tour with Wolfgang Hauck on visual design and the use of new techniques such as AI.

The exhibition app can be used free of charge to prepare and deepen your visit.

If you are arriving by coach, please register with us so that we can provide you with a free coach parking space directly at the exhibition.

Arrival by train: The walk from the stop "Landsberg Schule" is about 400 meters.

Is there a catalog for the exhibition?

A catalog is not yet planned.
However, we are collecting expressions of interest and would publish a printed catalog if there is sufficient interest.

Is there a complete version of the sound recordings?

Due to the demand for a coherent version of all texts set to music, we are planning such a compilation.
We are currently preparing it.

How did the idea of working with construction fences come about?

The main square in Landsberg am Lech was redesigned in 2012 and 2013.
For months, it was surrounded by construction fences.
Wolfgang Hauck had the idea of artistically accompanying the renovation and developed a socio-cultural art project.
He called it "dieKunstBauStelle".
The project was very successful and was continued with further exhibitions such as "Landsberg Stories" and "Future Flashback", which were also shown in Istanbul and Ukraine.
These exhibitions were expanded digitally via QR codes.
"The Labyrinth" is his largest work in this exhibition format in 2024.

Is there a restaurant on the premises?

There are no restaurants on the site.
On the northern side is the "Waitzingers" pub with beer garden and restaurant.

Is there a WC on the exhibition grounds?

There is no toilet on the exhibition grounds.
However, there is a public toilet in the immediate vicinity (100 meters) at the entrance to the Waitzinger Wiese parking lot.
The use costs 0,50 €.

Can I visit the exhibitions on a bicycle?

The exhibition can be visited by bike at any time.
The perimeter of the exhibition is approx. 400 meters.
You can also take your bike inside.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are generally allowed.
Please make sure that your dogs do not contaminate the exhibition.
Take waste or dog bags with you.
There are no waste garbage cans on the grounds!

Where can I park?

You can park right next to the exhibition grounds in the Waitzinger Wiese parking lot.

Can you take photos of the exhibition?

Yes, photography of the exhibition, images and texts is permitted for personal use.
Please note that all works and texts are protected by copyright.
Any use beyond personal use requires our consent.
Please ask us about this.

Is it possible to visit the exhibition with a walking frame?

Yes, you can visit the exhibition with a walking frame.
Some areas are paved, but others are only paved with gravel.
Depending on the weather, access may therefore be restricted.

Is the exhibition open in all weathers?

Yes, the exhibition is weatherproof.
Only the offers in the media container are only open when our supervisor is present.

Is the exhibition available as a traveling exhibition?

Yes, the exhibition can be rented as a traveling exhibition.

The following are required at the exhibition venue:
- an area of min.
90 x 90 meters
- 300 construction fences (3.50 x 2.0 m) with adjustable feet

Why is the period after 1924 to 1945, especially the Second World War, not described in more detail?

The aim of the exhibition was to present the pre-war period in detail.
The following years would have gone beyond the scope of the project.
We hope to be able to present the other periods of Nazi history in a similar way in the coming years.

Are there disturbing images of atrocities in the exhibition?

No images of atrocities or explicit acts of violence are shown in the exhibition.

Who is "Das Labyrinth - Raim und Hauck GbR"?

"Das Labyrinth - Raim und Hauck GbR" was founded in 2022 for the implementation of the project and operates as an independent company under civil law.
The partners are Dr. Edith Raim and Wolfgang Hauck.

How can I support the project?

We would be delighted if you would like to support the project.
As a civil society initiative, a great deal of voluntary commitment has gone into this project.
